The most likely candidate I have found is TBM-1C 45626 which had an
engine fire just after take off from NAS Grosse Ile on 30 August 1945
and forced to ditch in the Lake Erie. Part of the exhaust stack
had dropped off. It looks relatively undamaged but was stricken.-
