P2V 204, 127734 at Oakland, CA in Aug. 1957

P2V 204, 127734 was received from overhaul at NAS Alameda during the August 1957 VP-731 cruise to NAS Oakland, CA.  In the picture the plane had not yet made the trip to NASGI for painting. (I was on the original acceptance test flight at Alameda, on this flight the windshield cracked on takeoff.  In March 1960 I again made the trip to Alameda to pick up 127734 from overhaul.  We made the return flight with stops at Litchfield Park, AZ and NAS Dallas.  The windshield cracked before we got to Dallas.
