Morris, a widower resides at the Rivergate Terrace (nursing Home) Riverview, MI. At Grosse Ile Morris worked on the TBM line and then helicopters. He re-enlisted as a TAR at NFB in 1946 and retired in 1960 after 20 years of service. During World War two he served on three carriers, USS Lexington CV-2, USS Saratoga CV-3 and USS Enterprise CV-6.
